Jane's Walk special edition

Despite the postponement of the Jane's Walk Festival, we still want to highlight the spirit of this great event – that usually takes place the first weekend of May in hundreds of cities around the world. We invite you to come together... virtually!

We suggest you make Montrealers discover your favorite spots in the city, whether it’s a building, an alley or a park, all themes are welcome!

How it works:

1. Choose a spot (or several) to highlight
2. Read this guidance documentas it will help you create your virtual walk (french only, english to come)
3. Invite your friends to join the movement
4. On May 1st, 2nd and 3rd, follow our Facebook eventto (re)discover Montreal and its well-kept secrets

Also, Jane’s Walk Facebook page will be continuously animated until the first weekend of May. Here’s what to expect: content on Jane Jacobs, memories of previous editions, glances at what is done in other cities, a virtual way to explore Montreal neighborhoods and even a podcast! Marie and Sasha, two long-time organizers, are excited to share with you their experience in this brand-new audio format that will be available late April. In short, you should have plenty of content to keep the love for your city vibrant, despite the confinement!

The walks, as we know them, will take place this fall. We suggest you wait until the dates are confirmed before submitting your walk on the website. Until then, keep thinking about the spots you would like to show your Montreal fellows!
