A Walking Tour of Old Pointe-Claire

Pointe-Claire was founded in 1713 as the parish of La pointe claire, thereby becoming the administrative entity of Pointe-Claire. This walking tour of la "pointe claire" and of the Village, presented by the Société pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine de Pointe-Claire, will allow you to discover the evolution of this area since its origins as a French colony. The history of Pointe-Claire, and that of its first inhabitants will be recounted and the historic houses, which bear witness to the changing eras, will be described. The tour includes the windmill of 1709-1710 and the convent (1867) of the Sisters of the Congregation de Notre-Dame. Everyone is welcomed! Please note : Saturday May 6 (in French only) and Sunday May 7 2017 (in English only).
