How Well Do You Know Your Chinatown?

Take a walk through the heart of Montréal’s Chinatown and learn about the neighbourhood’s history, its struggles, and its heritage.
Begin your MEM visit with the travelling exhibition How Well Do You Know Your Chinatown?, which shares the stories of the community, from its very beginnings.
After the exhibition, you’ll head to Chinatown House to meet the team at the JIA Foundation. They’ll take you through the streets of the neighbourhood, where you’ll discover its rich history, distinctive architecture, and vibrant history.
This walking tour is a unique opportunity to rediscover the iconic neighbourhood and its story, told by the people who know it best.
